Who is TLC?
Hello. I'm Tammy Louise Coulson. Yep, "T.L.C."... That's me!
TLC (Tender Love & Care) is also what I put into each and every unique piece of origami, hoping to spread joy and peace to others.
My passion for Origami (the Japanese art of paper-folding) was first ignited many years ago, when
my Primary School librarian read us the true story of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes.
Still to this day, tears come to my eyes every time I read this beautiful legacy!
The flame that was ignited as such a young girl, inspired me to study an Asian Studies degree and led to
an adventure where I lived and studied in Hiroshima, Japan.
My passion for folding paper accompanied me throughout many years of teaching Japanese language and culture in Australia, where I loved teaching origami and sharing its story, with children of all ages.
So a trail of intricately folded pieces of paper has followed me all around the world and then back home until finally I had children of my own.
Now I love doing origami with my two young and rather over-enthusiastic daughters! So in order to be at home with my children rather than rushing off to work everyday, I began my own little business!
